The Purple Life Plan offers rich rewards that provide unparalleled value when you improve your health and financial wellness.

By managing your health and financial wellness, you can get up to 48% in upfront and ongoing premium discounts, and up to 100% of your life insurance premiums back in cash through the PayBack benefit. You can also supplement your retirement funding through the Cash Conversion** benefit, which is available at an additional premium. Through the Cash Conversion benefit, you can receive up to 100% of the value of your Life Fund, which pays out in 10 equal yearly instalments from age 65.

Access to the best medical treatment in the world

On the Purple Life Plan, your Severe Illness Benefit automatically includes the enhanced Global Treatment Benefit. This benefit helps you access medical treatment from a network of healthcare facilities overseas by paying up to 2.5 times the Severe Illness Benefit insured amount. Part of the amount provided is to assist with travel, accommodation and living expenses you may incur while getting treatment overseas. You also get the Cancer Exome Sequencing Benefit, which provides a lump sum to assist in funding the cost of sequencing a tumour to determine the optimal treatment regime.

Increased cover with no additional underwriting

The Purple Vitality Fund provides up to 45% boosted life cover without additional underwriting.

 

The Legacy Fund provides up to 25% additional life cover in retirement at no additional cost and free of medical underwriting.

 

Discovery Life's Purple Life Plan gives you access to the Dollar Swap Option.

The Dollar Swap option allows you to convert all, or a part of, your rand cover into dollars. This conversion is done without additional underwriting if you meet the qualifying criteria.

Activating the Dollar Swap option on a Purple Life Plan on Adviser360 automatically includes the Vitality Exchange Rate Protector at no additional cost for the first three years after the swap.
