The next evolution of Vitality Drive
We're redefining the way you're rewarded for safe driving by bringing together Discovery Insure, Discovery Bank and Ðiscovery Miles to deliver a simpler, more immediate and more valuable rewards experience.
From 1 November 2026, you can earn up to 65% back in rewards on your fuel and Gautrain spend through Vitality Drive and Vitality Money, paid instantly in Ðiscovery Miles. To qualify for and access Vitality Drive fuel rewards, all Discovery Insure primary drivers must be Discovery Bank accountholders and will need to pay using a Discovery Bank virtual card.
Every primary driver on your plan who does not have a Discovery Bank account will have until 31 December 2026 to open an account, which may include the free transactional account. Each primary driver must have their own Discovery Bank account and pay for fuel and Gautrain purchases using their virtual Discovery Bank card.
From 1 January 2027, physical and digital Vitality Drive cards will no longer be accepted. You can choose to have your Vitality Drive fuel rewards paid in Ðiscovery Miles or doubled into the Insure Funder Account.

Unlock 5,000 Ðiscovery Miles with our special offer
From 1 October 2026 to 31 December 2026, existing primary drivers who don't have a Discovery Bank account or have not paid for fuel using their Discovery Bank account in the past 12 months can get 5,000 Ðiscovery Miles on their first tap of R500 or more when filling up at bp or Shell.
Turn every PerfectDrive into daily rewards
PerfectDrive is a new daily driving reward for safe driving. You can earn 1 Ðiscovery Mile for every event-free kilometre you drive, with a minimum of 20 Ðiscovery Miles for a qualifying trip longer than 5 km and up to 100 Ðiscovery Miles a day. Your rewards are paid instantly through Discovery Bank at the end of each qualifying trip. You can earn PerfectDrive rewards from 1 October 2026. All you need is a Discovery Bank account and a completed Annual MultiPoint check at Tiger Wheel & Tyre within the past 12 months.
Plan updates
We've made a few changes to make sure you continue to receive great benefits while we enhance our offerings.
Vitality Drive monthly fee updates
These Vitality Drive monthly fee changes apply to new clients from October 2026 and to existing clients from their plan anniversary.
- Discovery Insure Core Plan Vitality Drive members - R25
- Discovery Insure Essential Plan Vitality Drive members - R99
- Discovery Insure Classic and Purple Plan Vitality Drive members - R119
Other Vitality Drive fee adjustments
- Tiger Wheel & Tyre Annual MultiPoint check fee - R115 (effective 1 November 2026)
- Stolen-vehicle recovery monthly device fee - R149 (effective at plan anniversary for existing clients)
Benefit limit updates
To make sure that cover remains aligned with inflation and rising replacement costs, we have increased the maximum per-item limit for general clothing and personal effects to R300,000 under the Purple Plan. We've also added additional cover to the rats and pests benefit limit for all plans. See the Benefit Limit Annexure for more information.
Excess changes
To keep our cover competitive in the market and to make sure we're giving you the best cover, we regularly review our basic excess structure. The motor basic excess for the Essential Plan and the minimum motor basic excess for the Core Plan have increased by R500.
Changes to the Vitality Drive programme
Young Adult benefit coming to an end
The Young Adult benefit is being phased out. Existing participants will enter their final six-month benefit cycle on or before 1 November 2026. After this date, no new clients can join the Young Adult benefit, while existing clients complete their final benefit cycle. The last payment for qualifying clients will be in March 2027.
Drive your Discount is ending
From 1 November 2026, all remaining Drive your Discount clients will move to the standard fuel rewards available through the Vitality Drive programme. Clients who have already qualified for a premium discount will keep that discount on their plan.
Upgrade for existing standalone DQ-Track clients
Clients using telematics devices that are not smartphone-enabled will need to upgrade to a smartphone-enabled solution from 1 October 2026 to 1 November 2026. To continue using your device and earning Vitality Drive rewards, please ensure this is completed before the deadline.
